About Heartland Power Service

Professional service for everything outside

The Problem We Solve

No Way to Transport

Most homeowners with a riding mower have no practical way to get it to a shop. It weighs hundreds of pounds and will not fit in a pickup bed without a trailer.

Multi-Week Backlogs

Most local shops carry 2-4 week backlogs from April through July. By the time you get your equipment back, the season is half over.

No Ongoing Relationship

You drop it off, pick it up, get a paper receipt, and never hear from them again. No record, no reminders, no visibility into your equipment health.

Heartland Power Service exists because that experience does not have to be the standard. We bring professional service directly to your driveway — with a platform that keeps you connected to your equipment year-round.

Who We Are

Founded by John Adams

Heartland Power Service was founded by John Adams, a Greenfield, Indiana native with more than 30 years of experience across service industries — spanning mobile electronics, home theater technology, automotive, manufacturing operations, logistics, and over a decade of progressive leadership in GPS telematics and field operations.

The common thread across every role in that career is consistent: building systems that make service work better for the people receiving it.

Heartland Power Service is the natural next chapter — taking three decades of service industry expertise and applying it to a market that has been underserved for too long. Mobile. Professional. Connected.

I have spent my entire career in service industries — not because I had to, but because it is what I am genuinely good at and what I enjoy most. Heartland Power Service brings that experience directly to your driveway.

— John Adams, Founder

Our Training Path

Every Heartland Power Service technician follows a structured training path before serving clients. We don't show up with a toolbox and a guess — we show up prepared and continuously improving.

Briggs & Stratton Engine Training

Manufacturer training program covering the engines that power the majority of residential mowers regardless of brand.

Kohler Engine Training

Manufacturer training for Kohler-powered equipment — a significant portion of residential and commercial zero-turns.

Husqvarna Training Program

Brand-specific training covering the full Husqvarna line of outdoor power equipment.

EETC Credential Path

The Equipment and Engine Training Council credential is the nationally recognized, brand-neutral standard for independent operators.

This commitment applies to every technician — now and as we grow. Any operator who represents the Heartland Power Service brand follows the same structured training path. No shortcuts.

Equipment Care

Most people have every intention of staying on top of equipment maintenance. But between the last mow of fall and the first snow of winter — life gets in the way. You're not sure when you last changed the oil. You can't remember if it was serviced this year or last.

That's what Equipment Care solves. We track your service history, monitor usage, and send you reminders before your equipment needs attention — not after it fails to start. No guessing. No scrambling. Just equipment that's ready when you need it.

Equipment Care is included with every Annual Maintenance Plan — no extra cost, no extra steps.

Full Service History

Every service visit logged. Every part replaced. A complete record of everything done to every piece of your outdoor equipment.

Maintenance Alerts

Automated reminders when service is due based on your equipment type and last service date. Your mower is ready in April — not sitting in a queue.

Referral Rewards

Earn service credits for every client you refer. Annual plan members unlock tiered rewards as their referrals grow.
